Extra-mural programme

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

The extra-mural programme will start on Monday, 18 January. Initially trials will take place as girls need to be placed in the correct training groups. You should have received the extra-mural programme today. The reply slip attached needs to be returned to school as soon as possible so that we can arrange coaches according to the demand for the different sporting codes.

Please remind your daughter that she is making a commitment to her school and to the coach that she will attend all practices and see the season through to the end.

If anyone has an interest in gardening and would like to get involved in the planning of this project, please give me a call.

A good book on your shelf is a friend that turns its back on you and remains a friend.

A book is the only place in which you can examine a fragile thought without breaking it, or explore an explosive idea without fear it will go off in your face.  It is one of the few havens remaining where a man’s mind can get both provocation and privacy.

Anyone who says they have only one life to live must not know how to read a book.

SCHOOL FEES

The Governing Body has set the School Fees at R12 000 annually per pupil.  A deposit of R1000 per child is to be paid on acceptance into the school. This deposit will be offset against the first term’s school fees.

School funds are necessary for the effective maintenance of the school and equipment needed.  Teaching aids, educational and sports equipment, library books, text books, insurance of school buildings and equipment, etc are paid from these funds.
