Grade 5 Outing on 24 August

Thursday, August 25th, 2011

We went on an outing to Silvermine Wetlands at Clovelly on the 24th August 2011. We had a guide named Terri Corr. We learnt about invisible and visible pollution. We also learnt about bugs such as the Dragonfly Nymph, the fresh water snail and the blood worm.

We moved to a few parts of the river and then we went down to the beach. We played in the waves and then had a sandcastle competition. We had to build a river or seawater creature. We went back into the water and nearly everybody got wet! We had such a great time and learnt so much about water pollution.
