Oakhurst girls excel at Horizon Maths Competition

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

Congratulations!

Last night 15 of our girls were recognized for their outstanding achievement in the Horizon Maths Competition. These girls were ranked in the top 200 achievers in the Cape. There were 16 500 participants drawn from 142 primary schools nationally.

We are particularly proud of Irena Nolte, a grade 6 pupil at Oakhurst. Not only was she the top Oakhurst achiever but she was also placed 3rd in the Cape (top girl) and 6th in the country.

We hope these results will encourage all our pupils to strive for excellence.
